riding with the top off!

oh what a weekend with our new toy! It's so unbelievably awesome! We took the top off when we got home and rode everwhere we could yesterday! Grocerystore, walmart, target, sonic, Bravos! everywhere! It was awesome! This morning I put the top up halfway so that it would be faster to close up once I got to school. It was awesome! There is nothing greatere than driving and looking up at stars! it was great.

I have to blog this before I forget! Yesterday evening Nicolas was working on his homework book. Essentially it's a PreK activity book. He went through the pages circling the certain picture colors in the rows where it was asked of him and he was ready to move on to tracing. He started with tracing boxes, generally nowhere near the dotted lines but getting a little better each time. Feeling strong he moved on to letters. The word was little- big was on the opposite page. He traced the big and moved on to the little. Tracing the letters became a little bit more arduous of a task. All of a sudden I hear from his room, "Dammit, how many t's are there in little anyway?" can you see me rolling my eyes? I imagine the grandparents would be mortified! ha ha

It's gorgeous outside!

It's so pretty outside!! The sun is shining brightly and the wind is blowing. The water in the pool is almost warm enough to swim!!! I can't wait to get out there! The ivy is growing like crazy! I still don't know if it's poisonous or not though I trim it all the time and have no reaction! lol so I hope it's not! Hope the weather is wonderful by you!

Water challenge

Spring is in full bloom

And Giuliana is taking full advantage of it! As more and more flowers come into bloom we are having to talk about which flowers are okay to pick and which aren't. If I didn't I'd have no jasmine, no trumpet vine and no esperanza! lol But we've agreed that the clover flowers are perfect for picking---as can be seen here!

We went to Huntsville on Easter Sunday and had a blast! Tia Lala bought many cartons of cascarones and everyone went crazy with them as can be seen by the pictures! G decided at one point she'd had enough and went inside.
































At the end of the day we took a group shot of Corinna's boys, Trinity, Tanner, and Tristan, Ali, Nicolas and G, and Benjamin and baby Christian. Nico decided it would be fun to be odd man out. By his giggling face we knew it wasn't too serious.

Bluebonnet pictures finally!!

We were able to do bluebonnet pics today on the way to Huntsville! It was a little muddy but it's all good!

Our sofas are here!!

woo hoo!! It's a gorgeous chocolate brown, all leather. On the couch both ends recline,the love seat both sides rock and recline, and the chair rocks/reclines. Reuben is beside himself!

The Easter bunny came early!

The Easter bunny came today while we were at the grocery store! In the baskets were some goodies....the major ones were the cameras. This is all I have seen all day!

I want this to be my next car! Reuben has to buy a new car as his car as been determined to be unacceptable at his new level. So, as it goes right now, there's a potential that I might give him my car and he gets me this! Can you even imagine????

A view around town was the challenge this week and this is the shot I took this afternoon...not bad for driving on an access road at 50mph and supporting the camera on my left shoulder while I drove! the bluebonnets are in full bloom and breathtaking. You can see the stakes supporting the baby pines.

easter eggs

We made Easter eggs yesterday for school! I forgot to add the pics! aren't they adorable! each sticker and stone was painstakingly placed! It was fun to watch them color....Nicolas chose the bright colors and used broad strokes...G totally chose the lighter colors and used small strokes for painstaking detail!

Sweet little Tico......

Not as potty trained as was mentioned. ugh. Yesterday in the mere seconds it took to run to the back door he made a little mess. But I found the trick! we have a tie that I put him on at the front door and put the food there so he can eat and pee at the same time! How's that for ingenuity!! I know- not exciting news for a blog but that's the kind of life I lead! lol
